The Somerset Volunteer Fire Department was formed in 1955. It is located in the City of Somerset in the semi-arid, SW region of Texas. The S.V.F.D. is a 100% volunteer organization. In addition to responding to fire’s, vehicle accidents, public service and EMS calls, we are trained to handle a variety of other emergencies.
